Party Snacks

Dips are always a hit at parties. Serve them with
a variety of crackers and chips plus your favorite beverage
and cookies and you have plenty of eating enjoyment. Try
some of these!
CURRY BACON DIP.
Combine one 8-ounce pack
age softened cream cheese
and 2 teaspoons curry pow
dei. Cook and dram 4 slices
bacon Crumble bacon and
stir into dip Chill. Makes 1
cup
CHILL DIP Mix one 8-
ounce package softened
cream cheese, Vz teaspoon of
chili powder (or to taste) and
Vz cup chopped green pepper
Chill Makes-about 1 cup
PINEAPPLE LEMON DIP
Cook two eggs with one can

at room tempeiature and
mix with the egg mixture,

one orange, 1 teaspoon in

6-ounce, cai tomatoe paste,
one 2-'i ounce can deviled
ham, Vs teaspoon cayenne

DEVILED CHEESE DUNK;
Combine one 5-ounce jar of
pimiento cheese spread, a
2V. - ounce can deviled ham,
Vz cup mayonnaise, Vi cup of
chopped chi'led parsley, 1
tablespoon grated onion, 4
drops Tabasco sauce Chill
Yields about 1 cup
PARTY EGG'DIP Chop

Mix well with V* cup mayon
naise, i/ 4 cup ketchup, 2 ta
b espoons milk, Vz teaspoon

and a pinch of basil. Chill

% ounce Blue Cheese, finely
crumbled, 1 tablespoon grat
ed onion, IVs teaspoons lem
on juice, Vz cup mayonnaise
14 cup sour cream, 2 table
spoons sliced, stuffed olives.
Store in tightly covered con
tainer in refrigerator until
ready to serve. 1 cup.
CRAB MEAT DUNK; Re
move all bones from one 6Vi>
ounce can crab meat. Mix %
cup mayonnaise, 3-ounce of
cream cheese, Vs cup cream,
1 teaspoon lemon juice, 14
teaspoon grated onion, Vz
teaspoon fine'y chopped
chives, 14 teaspoon Worces
tershire sauce, and a dash of
Tabasco sauce Chill Makes
1% cups.
CHILI RELISH DIP; Com
bine 1 cup daily sour cream,
Vs cup tomato ketchup, two
tablespoons India relish and
Vi teaspoon salt. Chill. Makes
1% cups.
CHEESE RELISH DUNK
ING SAUCE Beat 1 pack
age (8 ounces) cream cheese,
softened, until soft and fluf
fy Add V>. cup cucumber rel
ish, 1 tablespoon milk, two
teaspoons Worcestersli re
sauce, 1 teaspoon finely grat
ed onion and a dash of salt;
beat again Chill at least one
hour. Serve at room temper
ature with potato chips,
crackers or crisp, raw vege

SPREADS
EGG ’N BACON SPREAD:
Mash 2 hard-cooked eggs
with a fork Crumble 8 to
10 slices crisp l y fried bacon
and add-to eggs with Vz cup
chopped watercress and 14
cup softened margarine.
Blend thoroughly. Chill.
Makes % cup.
ROCK LOBSTER SPREAD:
Cut one 5-ounce can rock
lobster into small pieces.
Add Vz cup tartar sauce, 14
cup chopped ce l ery, Vz tea
spoon lemon juice, dash of
cayenne and dash of salt and
pepper. Blend well. Chill.
Makes about 1 cup
SPICY HAM SPREAD.
Grind Vz pound boiled ham
in food chopper. Then grind
altogher the ham, 14 cup of
bread and butter pickles, 6
large stuffed olives, 2 table
spoons parsley sprigs Mix
with Vz teaspoon grated on-
ion, 2 teaspoons mustard
with horseradish, 2 teaspoons
brown sugar and 6 table
spoons mayonnaise. Makes
114 cups. ,
MOCK CRAB MEAT
SPREAD Mix well 2 cups
(Vs pound) freshly grated
Swiss cheese, 3 tab’espoons
chopped, stuffed olives, two
tablespoons chopped green
pepper, Vz cup chopped to
matoes, Vz cup Mayonnaise
and salt. Chill. Makes two
cups.
CREAM CHEESE SPREAD
Mix 2-ounce cream cheese,
1 tablespoon mayonnaise and
