Beef cattle entries total 732, sheep 1,325 and swine 1,192. Sheep and swine entries are the heaviest ever in the four-year-old open Livestock show With + he national Suffolk show being held with the ex position, Suffolk sheep en tries are heaviest at 153 head Next are Southdawn with 118 and Cheviot with 117. Sheep feeders will show 172 market wethers and 4 txuck- loads of 15. Angus breeding cattle en tries total 171, Polled Here fords 153, Shorthorns 103, & Herefords 95. One hundred steers are entered in the junior show, striving for the premium price normally paid when the grand champion 4-H or FRA seer is auctioned. There are 36 animals in the open steer class. In the swine department, Yorkshires lead with 114 en tries, followed closely by Berkshires with 111. There are 376 individual market barrows and 11 truckloads of ten barrows to be shown. In the popular carcass show, 140 barrows have been en ered, 64 wethers and 24 steers.
