prices at farms 16.50 to 18.20
for 753,400 head during the
24 hour period ending 10:30
Friday morning. Supplies
were in relatively lower vol
ume with reluctance to sell
at lower prices showing in
some instances.
Estimated slaughter by
eastern shore processors for
the week end is 676,000 head
compared to the 647,000 head
last week end.
The Delmarva broiler-feed
ratio for the week ending
September 2 was steady at
3.7 when broilers averaged
17.22 and mash cost $92.00
per ton.
Georgia reported prices of
15Vz to 16 on 650,000 head at
the farm with most of the
sales at 15.5. Estimated
slaughter by Georgia proces
sors for the week end is 694,-
000 head compared to 854,-
000 head last week end.
