This compares with sixty crews and 2,900 workers in 1959. In addition to the crews contracted by the Farm Placement Bureau another twenty or twenty-five crews will be hired by Pennsylvan ia farmers without using the machinery set up by the State. The remainder of the State’s seasonal farm labor force, totalling about 30,000 will be drawn from the local Pennsylvania labor markets.
