1 egg
2 tablespoons milk
1 cup chopped nuts
Melt chocolate over hot
water. Sift together flour,
sugar, cinnamon, salt, bak
ing powder and baking so
da and set aside. Combine
banana and margarine and
beat till blended, Beat in
egg Add flour mixture, al
ternately with milk, blend
ing well after each addition.
Stir in melted chocolate and
nuts. Spread In greased and
floured 13”x9”x2” pan. Bake
at 350 degrees for 25 min
utes. Cool and frost with
brown velvet frosting.

44 cup milk
Va teaspoon salt
44 teaspoon vanilla
Melt chocolate and short
ening over hot water. Re
move from water and stir in
the sugar, milk, salt, and
vanilla. Beat till smooth.
Spread over cooled baked
mixture. Cut in 2”xl&”bars
Makes 32 bars.
DOUBLE-DELIGHT
BROWNIES
a 4 cup sifted flour
44 teaspoon baking soda
44 teaspoon salt
Va cup sugar
% cup vegetable shorten
ing
2 tablespoons water
1 6-ounce package semi
sweet chocolate pieces
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
Vi cup coarsely chopped
nuts
Sift together the flour ba
king soda, and salt, set aside
Combine sugar, shortening,
and water; bring just to boil
stirring constantly. Remove
from heat and add chocolate
and vanilla; stir till blend
ed. Beat in the eggs, one at
a time. Stir in flour mix
ture and nuts. Spread in a
greased 9” square pan. Bake
at 325 degrees for 25 min
utes. Cool. Frost with soft
chocolate frosting.
