NEW BULK FEED STORAGE AND HANDLING
equipment recently installed at the Eastern States Farmers
Exchange, Inc. Service Center at Quarryville. The bucket
type elevator carries feed to the top of the structure where
it is directed into one of the pipes and falls by gravity into
one of twelve bins for storage. Included in the new struc
ture are facilities for bulk storage and spreading of fertiliz
er. The building at the far left is the fertilizer storage.

An open house to display
npwly completed facilities is
planned by the Eastern
States Farmers Exchange,
Inc. The event will take
place on January 22 from 12
noon to 9.00 p. m. at the
Quarryville service center.
New facilities on display
will be new bulk feed and
fertilizer handling equip
ment, a new office and dis
play room, new dumping pit
and conveyor for ear corn
including a new and larger
sheller, and additions to the
commodity wareroom with
two more railroad spots.
The feed handling equip
ment includes 12 bins with
conveyors to handle bulk
mash or grains and will be
used to handle grain bought
locally by the cooperative.
