from 15.25 to 17.85 for the
24 hour period ending 10.30
Friday morning.

in instances though it-is in
creasingly competitive. The
demand continues generally
fair, with live offerings amp

marva for the week end was
487,000 head compared to
the 103,000 head last week
end.
Georgia reported sales on
Thursday of 929,000 head at
prices of 15 to 17 with most
of the sa’es being at 15 to
15 9. Prices reported to 10 30
Friday morning for 1,769,-
000 head ranged from 14 5
to 16 with sales mostly at 15
Estimated slaughter in
Georgia for the weekend was
2,111,000 head compared to
the 997,600 last weekend.
Supply Steady
Demand Better
Milk production was re
ported steady at most points
though Philadelphia was re
ported higher. Demand im
proved though Philadelphia
reported fair to lighter sales,
Surplus, liberal at points,
was moved to manufacturers
or separators.
Prices at New York were
unchanged _to 10 cents lower
at $5.40 to $5.50 per 40
quart unit.
