Experiment Station report
that they have treated plants
with 2, 4-D and as a result
changes occurred in mineral
content in several portions of
the treated plants Chemist
Sam Bass of the Michigan
Station says changes were
observed in the percentages
of boron, calcium, iron, mag
nesium, potassium, phosphor
us, and sodium in the vari
ous parts of the plant. But in
the roots, he says, percentag

Just why variations occur in

not known, but it is apparent
