with prices ranging from 14.-

slightly reduced from last
week. The market strength
ened somewhat by the mid
week point when offerings
were somewhat less than
demand.
Friday’s market closed
with 694,200 head at prices
of 15.40 to 17. Demand was
good, but the buyers were
conservative at the higher
prices. Estimated slaughter
for the week end was 550,-
700 compared to last week’s
615,000
The Delmara broiler-feed
ratio for the week ending on
Oct. 9 was unchanged from
last week at 3.4. Price paid
for broilers rose from 14 49
to 15.18 during the week and
mash went from $B5 80 to
90.14 per ton.
