Broilers Show Slight Drop
Broiler prices remained
fairly steady with the past
months at Thursday’s Lan
caster Poultry Exchange sale,
with an average of 16.29, on
a 15 - 18.9 range. Last weeks
average was 17.33.
There were 44 lots with
174,160 head offered, 32 lots
with 101,960 head selling, as
12 growers took the NO
SALE option.
A total of 23 lots, with 97,-
400 head of broilers sold;
four lots, with 1,875 head of
capeir.es on a 25 6-27 cent
range; three lots with 1,890
leghorn fowl, and two lots,
with 795 heavy fowl.
