Farm Marketings Up
Cash Receipts Off
The volume of farm mar
ketings in the first six mon
ths of 1959 increased
three per cent over the cor
responding -period of 1958,
according to the USDA
But, because of lower pri
ces, cash receipts from farm
marketings were $l3 9 bill
ion compared to 14 billion
received during the same
period a year ago.
Receipts from crop sales
were up by four per
but cash receipts for livesto
ck and products were lower.
