Dust birds four per cent malathion dust at the rate of one pound to 100 mature chickens'. For spraying on birds use one pound of 25 per cent malathion wettable powder or % cup of 57 per cent em ulsion in five gallons of wa ter and apply the spray at the rate of approximately 1 gallon, to 100 mature birds. Buildings may be treated for mite and lice by using one pound of malathion four per cent dust to 50 square feet of litter, fbost and nests, or spraying the building with malathion or lindane. To make a spray for the poultry building use 2 lbs of malathion 25 per cent wettable powder, or % pint of 57 per cent emulsion, or % pound of 25 per cent lin dane, or one pint of 20 per cent emulsion in five gallons of water. Do not use malathion or linade at the concentration given for spraying the build ing. Where poultry cannot be removed use' the four per cent malathion dust Avoid contaminatin'!; feed or water with malathion or lindane sprays or dust.
