Blue Ball Fire Hall, with
Penn State and County Ex
tension personnel teaming
with county homemakers to
produce the event.

This was one per cent less)
than in March 1958, but six
per cent more than the 1948-
57 average for the month
Production per cow on April
1 by milk cows in herds of
crop reporters averaged 21.76
lbs, an increase of four per
cent over April 1 of 1958.
The rate per cow was at
a record high for April 1 in
all regions of the country, ex
cept the South Atlantic.
Of the more than 10 billion
bs of milk produced in Mar
ch, nearly half was produced
in these six states
Wisconsin, 1,606 million lb
Minn, 1,006 million; New
York, 885 million; California
660 million, Pennsylvania,s9s
million; and lowa, 528 mil
