Delmarva’s Friday market
was weaker, with demand-re
duced. All purchases at 19Mi
and 20 cents were on previ
ous commitment. Total; 603,-
200 head, incl. 462,500 at
Eastern Shore Exch. 17.10 -
20 mostly 18 and up.

for processed birds from the

Milk Market
Milk production continued
its seasonal trend upwards
although dependent upon
weather conditions in some
instances. However, this up
ward trend was below that of
a year ago. Offerings were
ample for a well maintained
seasonal bottling demand.
Surplus above Class 1 needs
continued moving into manu
facturing channels, especial
ly for cottage cheese. The
wholesale selling price was
unchanged in N. Y. at $5.55
per 40 qt. unit.

more active buying and bidding interest by large and small
users. Prices recovered one-half to one cent on major lines
of large and medium shell eggs. A good many shipments
fiom the Midwest delayed by severe weather conditions.
