listed Friday morning for the
Lancaster Poultry Exchange
weekly auction. This com
pares with 20 lots and 59,-
805 birds sold the day after
Thanksgiving m 1957. The
market last year had twelve
broiler lots selling for 45,375,
ranging from 17 - 1825, with
a 17.51 average.

counties are reported by El
mer Pifer, Penn State exten
sion agronomist. Variety
yields per acre were: Garry,
67 bushels; Vicar, 60; Bur

land, and Mmhafer, 54. Local
farmers cooperated in the
demonstrations.

tractor clmic will be held in
the Farm Show Building,
Harrisburg, December 8 - 10,
announces Edward Mintmier,
Penn State assistant 4-H club
leader. During the past year
42 Pennsylvania counties had
4-H tractor clubs with 1100
boys and girls receiving in
struction.
