pound on a mere 25,900
broilers
More than 56 percent of
the Thursday offerings were
withdrawn from the market
on the NO SALE option, as
'growers rebelled from bids
as low as 12 cents per pound.
John Yarnell withdrew
four lots totaling 14,000 white
vantress at nine weeks and
six days age, after receiving
13.5, 13 8 and 13 cent bids,
to lead off the market.
Leon Hoover then accept
ed a 13 9 bid on 5,000, 9-2
old broilers, from W. C
Mellmger and Son Harvey
Zimmcman declared a NO
SALE on 500 Belts. 23 bid
Heistand Bros, with Larry
Heistand as the grower, sold
300 indian rivers, at 10
■weeks, to Carl B Risser, for
11 cents, a new market low.
