small scratch, the metal under

hazard if the freezer is in a damp
place or where condensation

The ideal place for the freezer

but not cold enough in winter to
go below freezing. The basement
may be the choice if it is the cool
est place in the house, but not if
it is damp, or if it is ever flooded.
