Junior Dairy Show To Be Held Sept. 18; Large Entry List Seen HARRISBURG The future of Pennsylvania’s $279,724,000 dairy Industry will go on parade Sep tember 18 at the third Pennsyl Vania Junior Dairy Show in the State Farm Show Building in Har risburg. Future Farmers of America and 4-H Club members from all por tions of the state will show ani mals of the six leading dairy breeds. These animals will al ready have placed in the blue rib bon group in district or regional shows. In addition to blue ribbons and championship awards at the show the boys and girls will participate in fitting and showmanship con tests for special prizes. National breed associations will make awards for the most outstanding animals entered in their breeds. All blue ribbon winners will be entered automatically in the 1959 I arm Show next January. Last year nearly 350 head of animals were put through their paces and the entry list is expect ed to be longer this year. The State Junior Dairy Show was made possible two years ago by an appropriation by the Gen eral Assembly which was raised last year to $15,000 each for the 1958 and 1959 shows, an increase of $5,000 per year.
