A TOTAL OF 53 head were shipped on July 11 and 12 from Idlewilde Airport. Long Island, N.Y. These loads included 47 Hol stcins and six Jerseys. The origial plan was to buy 15 Holstein bulls and 30 Holstein heifers between the ages of four months and a year. Two bull calves were added from the Belts ville herd in Maryland, a gift from the United States government to the government of Turkey. Some of the bulls will be used artificially to improve the pro duction of the native cattle of Turkey. Most of the heifers will be kept m a breeding herd to pro \ide future foundation stock.
