even dozen of Pennsylvania’s top
young broiler growers have been
invited to attend the annual ban
quet of the Pennsylvania Poultry
Federation, slated for 6 30 pin
June 19 at the Pennsylvania State
Cniversity
The 12 nine boys and three
girls showed the champion
and reserve champion entries at
the recent Pennsylvania Junior
Chicken - of - Tomorrow regional
Contests Along with their par
ents, they will be guests of the
Federation at the banquet
Also to be honored will be the
“Poultryman of the Year”, whose
identity will be revealed for the
first time at the banquet
Other features of the program
will be “Highlights of Musical Hu
mor”, bv singer-humorist Welling
ton Wolf, of Heading, and
‘Sounds of the Futuie”, a spe
cially - prepared, stereophonic
sound persentation The organi
zation’s new president, to be elec
ted during the afternoon, will
make the traditional presentation
of an engraved gavel to the out
going president, Dr E I Robert
son, of Lancaster
The affair climaxes the first day
of the Federation’s annual two
day summer jneeting held at the
University in cooperation with the

scheduled for the Farm Show
Building in Harrisburg, Pa, Oct
T-S 9, wil bring together the high
est scoring entues in the nation
for a final showdown
Entries from the top quartile

entered by the breeder or hatch
ery in whose name the entry is
registered. Eacn exhibit at the
exposition will consist of three
birds, selected on the basis of
physical condition from six birds
The latter group will be picked at
