Less Working Time
Needed fo Buy Meat
It takes considerably lass work
ing time to earn the price of a
pound of meat today than it did
10 years ago, according to figures
based on information from the
’Bureau of Labor Statistics of the
U.S Department of Labor.
The most recent statistics avail
able indicate that in 1957 it took
19 minutes of working time to
buy a pound of meat, compared
with 30 minutes in 1948
