The price paid for those birds sold was 16V2, 16- % and 17% cents. A year ago, the auction was on the Friday following Thanksgiv ing. The offerings were fair ly well divided between slaughter steers, heifers and cows Most of the steers and heifers graded good although several lots mixed good and choice were also avail able Trading was fairly active with the decreased recipts stimu lating buyer interest -and com petative ' trading resulted in stiong to higher prices for most classes.
