A total of 187,200 birds averaged 18.88 cents with the range being from 18 to 2014 cents. A year ago 138,530 birds aver aged 17.92 cents. At the recent sale 500 red broil ers sold at 16V4 cents; two lots of Leghorns, 1,285 head, sold for 12 and 12V* cents; a lot of SOOheavy fowl brought 16 cents and 75‘ tur keys sold for 2814 cents. This is 11 per cent less than the 8,618,000 head on feed a yeaf earlier, and 13 per cent below the number on feed on July 1.
