To Open Near Lititz Oct. 23
A new chick hatchery to be
known as Babcock Hatchery. Lan
caster County Branch will be
opened to the public Oct 23-26 at
R 3, Lititz, according to Bruce
Babcock, owner and operator.

operate the plant.
Born and raised on a poultry
farm, the owner of the new hatch
ery was graduated from Cornell*
University where he specialized
in poultry husbandry. He was
formerly in the hatchery business
with his father in Ithaca.
He and Mrs. Babcock, who will
make their home in Lititz, are the
parents of 16 mo. old twin boys,
Jimmy and Johnny.
On hand to open the hatchery
will be Dr. Alfred Van Wagenen,
general Manager of the North
eastern Poultry Producers
Council.

1956, representing a continuing
rise since 1951.
