was held Saturday by Society of
Farm Women 2 at the home of
Mrs. Jay Sahm, R 4 Manheim
Each member received a oepy of
the booklet “Your Family To
gether Cook-Out Meals ”
In the business session it was
announced that Mrs Henry Kelt,
217 Oi chard St, Manheim, will
be in charge of renting trays and
coffee urns
Scriptures were read by Mrs
Andrew Low
Happy Birthday was sung for
two members who had birthdays
in the past month
At the end of the meeting, the
members formed small groups to
make and servefreshments

1 teaspoon cinnamon
V 2 teaspoon nutmeg
Va teaspoon powdered cloves
1 cup canned applesauce
1 teaspoon baking soda
cup soft shortening
1 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1 cup seedless raisins
1 cup ready-to eat bran
Heat oven Sift together first
five ingredients Combine apple
sauce and soda Mix shortening
with sugar and egg until creamy
Mix in flour mixture alternately
with applesauce Fold in raisins
and bran Drop by teaspoonfhls,
about 2 inches apart, onto greased
cookie sheet. Bake about 20 min
utes, until golden brown, in a
375 degiee oven Makes three doz
en This is a moist cookie
