cluding whole and skim) in April
1957, about 7 per cent more than
was purchased in April 195. Most
of the gam was due to a large in
crease in the use of fluid whole
milk, which constituted just over
94 per cent of the total.

Uruguay’s imports of U.S. to
baccos m 1956 totaled 2.5 million
pounds, compared with 12 mil
lion pounds in 1955. Purchases
from the U.S. were mainly of flud
cured tobacco.
