only one sale a week at the Lan
caster Poultry Exchange, the Ex
change Board of Directors an
nounced this week
The single weekly sale will be
held each Thursday
Declining listings for the Wed
nesday auction was given as the
reason for the change
LANCASTER Thirty-four
lots of broilers, 85,300 birls, aver
aged 218 cents Friday at the
Lancaster Poultry Exchange.
This price was about steady with
the preceding Wednesday auc
tion when only 30,000 birds were
sold
In addition to the broilers,
1,500 Leghorn fowl sold for 12Vj
cents, and 6,300 capettes m three
lots brought from 22cents to
22-4 cents

Steer Prices Steady to Quarter Down

last Wednesday fed steers steady
to 25 cents lower in a rather slow
trade. Heifers scarce, steady.
Cows steady to 25 cents lower.
Bulls fully steady Stockers and
feeders extremely slow, weak to
25 cents lower.
Around 35 per cent of receipts
were stockers and feeders and 10
per cent cows.
The fed steer supply graded
mostly good and choice. Bulk
