Brucellosis Free
On June 3 acting Secretary of
Agriculture True D Morse noti
fied Gov Orville Freeman of
Minnesota that his state had
been declared modified certified
brucellosis free This means that
the disease is present in not
more than one per cent of Min
nesota’s cattle and.not more than
five per cent of the herds
Minnesota is the seventh state
to achieve a modified cei lifted
biucollosis free statues, the othei
states being Delaware, Maine,
New Hampshire, North'Carolina,
Washington and Winconsin
In addition, 374 counties in 26
other states and in Puerto Rico
have achived this status

plant at Martin’s Creek, north
east of Allentown, and the Le

Dairy plant at Allentown were
visited Monday by about 20 mem
ber of the 4-H electric club
