Broiler Prices Generally Steady
At Lancaster Exchange Thursday

prices held generally steady last
Thursday as compared to the
previous weeVs auction. And
over 100,000 birds were sold for
-the first time in several weeks.
Prices paid Thursday were:
Broilers, 18 to 1934 cents, aver
age 18.55 cents for 101,425 birds
in 32 'lots, one lot of 900 birds
sold for 21 cents.
Leghorns, 1114 and 12% cents
paid for four lots of 2,100 birds-
Heavy fowl, 1914 cents paid
for a lot of 200 birds.
Capettes, 24'4 cents paid for
a lot of 750
A year ago broiler prices aver
aged 19 52 cents. 121,920 birds
