Sends Prices Two Cents Higher Here

1956) in a surprise rally,
prices advanced two cents, aver
aging 19.09 cents on broilers, in
Che Thursday auction of 28 lots,
96,540 birds here last week.
Listed were 35 lots. 108,385, of
fered were 34 lots, 105,085. and
ecfld were 28 lots, 96,540 birds.
Twenty-six lots, 93,040 broilers,
ranged from 18 i to 19 'i cents,
averaging 19 09 Cfne lot of 2,000
Leghorn fowl brought 12 cents,
one lot of 1500 capettes 24 ,'i
cents
For corresponding sales a
year ago, Dec. 6 and Dec. 8,
1955, offered were 59 lots, 154,-
600 birds sold were 50 lots,
122,425 in a range of 17 M to
19 K, averaging 19.36 cents. A
