6—Lancaster Farming, Friday, Oct. 5, 1956 County Youth Top Judging Inißrandywine (Continued from page 5) Mr. Servos, raised in the Rhine Valley outside Cologne, Germany, said the Super Green formula came from Switzerland m 1940 to Canada, imported by Carl Abeles for his farm at Brantford. Ontario. Since that time its use has extended over many sections of Canada, and is now gaining rcegonition in the United States. Mr. Servos introduced the grass in Pennsylvania at Her shey Farms in 1945. It’s a combination of 11 grasses and clovers, high in protein as needed in Europe. There is no bluegrass or orchardgrass, and production of forage is excellent as early as orch ardgrass, and growefs can pasture it until frost. About 100 acres have been planted In Casupa at Fox Hill, and there are other plantings on the Hannum and Walker Farms. Developing rapidly, the Fox Hill herd has made its influence known in regional and state shows, scoring a grand cham pionship at the Kimberton, Pa., livestock show. Just last Janu ary, Fox Hill was third in the Pennsylvania State Farm Show with a young bull, fourth with a heifer. Lunch was served at noon by the hosts. .■■■■■■■■■HHaMHßßßiaHHaßiaaiHHaHaßaMM Keystone Leghorns STRAIN CROSS ‘-NOTICE THE ALj^xi AGGRESSIVE APPEARANCE OF OUR YOUNG BREEDING ’Ar Better Chick Liveability ★ Early Large Egg Size ★ Chalk White Eggs ★ Sustained Higher Production ★ Lower Hen House Mortality PENNSYLVANIA ■ U.
