Here is one we like very much; SWEETENED VINEGAR DRESSING FOR COLE SLAW One cup vinegar One cup granulated sugar Salt and pepper to taste One medium head of cabbage Shred cabbage, pour dressing over the cabbage and press lightly with your hand. If you need more dressing, 3ust take. as much sugar as vinegar. I use this recipe for canning red beets, chow chow or pickles. A few other notes from Mrs. Root: I like your paper very much.
