Lancaster Poultry Exchange

port, Sale 151, Thursday, May
31, 1956) Gains of a quarter
cent were marked up in the
Thursday auction of 80,925
birds an 30 lots at the Lancaster
Poultry Exchange Thirty-three
lots totaling' 97,925 were listed
and olfered. Prices ranged from
20 to 22’1, avei aging 2103 cents
on broileis
One lot of 1500 Leghoin fowl,
consigned by J G. Miller, sold
at 19% ' cents to Carl B. Risser.
Twenty-six lots, totaling 77,875
broilers, moved, and two lots of
heavy fowl, 1200 count, brought
25 cents, consigned by Richard
Tiostel. One lot of 350 capettes
brought 26 cents
For the corresponding day a
year ago, Thursday, June 2,
1955, sale 59, 41 lots' totaling
100,960 birds were offered, 40
lots totaling 100,160 were sold
in a range of 27 to 29 12, averag
