and a half for broilers'in the
Thurgday auction of 109,400
birds in 33 lots sold There were
40 lots, 126,725 birds listed, 36
lots of 113,725 offered, and not
sold were three lots, totaling
4,325 Prices on 30 lots of broil
ers, 108,200 -birds ranged from
18% to 23%, averaging 21-90,
while two lots of capettes, 1,000
birds, sold from 28% to 28%-,
and one lot of 200 heavy fowl
sold at 28%.
For the corresponding sale a
year ago, Thursday, May 5, 1955
sale 52, 22 lots totaling 68,390
broilers were offered, plus one
lot of 300 fowl and' two lots
totaling 800 capettes that sold
from 25 to 28% on broilers,
averaging 26.7 cents.
