Lancaster Farming, Friday, February 24, 1956 Elverson Herd Tops Red Rose January Marks Prilly Wayne Bessie Home stead, aged cow in the registered Holstein herd of Job Stoltzfus, E 2 Elverson, topped the January records of the Bed Rose Dairy Herd Improvement Association, producing 742 5 lbs of butterfat and 17,502 lb of milk during the month. Levi S. Stotzfus, R 1 Honks, placed second with an aged cow, Maybrook Rag Apple Sarah, who produced 17,698 lbs of milk 730 lbs of butterfat. Topping the herds was that of Harry H. Banck, R 1 Ronks, with 24 registered Holsteins produc ing 1,877 lbs of milk and 73.8 lbs butterfat in the period. Second place went to Elam B. Beiler, R 1 Gordonville, with 28 registered and grade Holsteins yielding 1,- 273 lbs of milk, 51.9 lbs butter fat.
