PHONES : Hatchery 37611 >■ ,■ Milk arid Egg Production at New Records HARRI&B URG All-time re cords for annual production of milk and efegs were established by Pennsylvania dairy" and chicken farmers during the 12 months otf 1955, the State De partment of Agriculture said today following Pennsylvania Crop Reporting Service surveys. The preliminary estimate for milk production, January through December 1955, totaled 6 bilhpn and 452 million lbs, the Depart ment said. This compares with* 6 billion, 156 million lbs produced in 1954 and the 5 billion, 971 million lbs in 1953. On the egg front, last year’s output is estimated at 4 billion, 474 million chicken eggs about 6 per cent above 1954 production and an astonishing 37 per cent above the 10-year annual average.
