It is Bulletin 605. Detailed descrip tions of the growth and charac teristics of 131 different varieties are listed in ihe new publication. The report includes most of the applo varieties commonly in cultivation over the past 100 years Records have been main tained since the first variety block ot apples was planted at the sta tion orchards in 1908, followed by another planung in 1917, and a more recent block planted in 1935- Copies oi the bulletin are available from any county agent’s office, or from the experiment station offices at University Park.
