| Kayla Csizmazia has grown accustomed to the success
of the organization this year.
“Honestly, I wasn’t surprised,” Csizmazia said. “I was like yeah
oO that’s great, let’s keep going.”
I It is this success that has THON members and
: i. | Brandywine students bursting with joy and excitement on how
= ® 0 i Nn Lo J the rest of the year will turn out.
Brandywine THON still also has at least three more
: ; a events planned this year including a Jingle Bell 5K at Brandy-
PAUL ALBERICI I wine on December 7, a Tree of Remembrance sale going on the

On November 13, Brandywine THON celebrated the |
annual university-wide THON tradition of the official count-
down -- 100 days until THON weekend in February.
It’s not only the chance to celebrate the official countdown but
also a chance to celebrate all the hard work members have put
in this year.
The event was held in the Lion’s Den; the area was
decorated with super hero themed decor. There was music
pumping through the speakers, people eating and relaxing.
People were also playing games with small donations going
to THON. All in all, the day was enjoyable for everyone who
attended.
“I could not have asked for anything better,” Liz
Gramlich said. “I think the event not just celebrated 100 Days
‘til THON but also celebrated our THON organization and es-
pecially all of the member for all they have done so far this
year.” :

Ryan Stone was also satisfied with how the day turned
out. :
“I.was very pleased with the turnout, it seemed like
everyone enjoyed themselves,” Stone said.
Stone and Gramlich helped organize the event. But
they weren’t alone. Committee members and freshman Shan-
non Wright, Shelby Wright, Lexie Smith and Becca Jones
pitched in too.
“They put in a lot of time into this event, Gramlich
said. “I could not have asked for better people.”
The theme of the day for Brandywine’s celebra-
tion was super heroes; some of the members wore super hero
themed apparel to show their support in the fight against pedi-
atric cancer such as a Batman tutu, Superman socks, multiple
super hero themed t-shirts and even a full Captain America
costume. When asked why. they chose that theme it didn’t
come easy.
“’Sometimes superheroes live in the hearts of small
children fighting big battles,” “ Gramlich said. “After hearing 1 Penn State Brandywine announced that Dr. Kristin
