Two of the most controversial issues in Israel are the Sinal and the Golan Heights areas. The P.L.C. (falestinian Liberation Organization), frequently puts israel to the test-- a provocation which often leads to death and destruction. It is the F.L.O. goal to force Israel to surrender the Golan Hei~hts. Israel feels that they can afford to turn over the Golan Heights because of its proximity to the heavily populated areas in their land. On this issu, Israel has remained firm. rerhaps even nore widely known to us is the situation between Israel and Ezypt. They are fighting over the land known as 3inai. The Egyptians feel that they should be the rightful inhabitants of the Sinal because they were evicted by the Israelis. In recent talks at Camp David between the anaders of Israel and Zgypt with the help of iresident Carter; a treaty for peace was proposed. It is the hope of 1iT, Jaran, and, surely the hope of all parties involved, that the treaties proposed will be ratified sometime in liovember.
