    ONE BAD APPLE
by
Steve Heller & Don Nocito
When we began this year at Delaware County Campus we had
three raw materials; a builbing, educators, and students. The
finished product of "the raw materials, we may conclude, will be
either good or bad.
We would like to acknowledge the results of our raw materials.
It appears to be forming a good product. We now have a student
government that, if it still contains the vigor and vitality it
campaigned with before the elections, will be a major asset to
the student body.
The spirit that was displayed by all candidates in the elec-
tion was not simply limited to these candidates. This spirit is
very strong undercurrent on campus traveling in several directions.
Intramural sports are in full swing and a major accmplishment, the
school paper, has also arisen. The fact that our students are
"involved" was clearly brought out in the recent "bulletin board
debate” that we are all familiar with.
Happinings of this sort are vivid displays of the ardor con-
tained in the "raw materials" here at our campus,
Yet, even with all our good points we are faced with a pro-
blem of ignominy in our student lounge. It is beyond reasoning
why some students cannot use the trash receptacles in the lounge.
Could it be the receptacles lack proper instructions concerning
how to use them? And so it seems, the "one bad apple" is a very
obvious one.
We are sure it is the hope and desire of the faculty, ad-
ministration, and students alike that we all may overcome this
problem and in the future have no "bad apples".
