page 2 The Fourth Wall Announcements: Currently seeking writers The Fourth Wall is seeking writers for all sections, including sports and arts & entertainment. We also need general writers on assignment and general article writers. There are openings for regular columns, such as a political column, humor column, advice -column, and cartoons. Students wishing to place advertisements can submit them® to: THON from page 1 oncologists, social workers, pediatric oncology nurse specialists, psychologists, child life specialists, nutritionists, pediatric cancer researchers, and even music therapists, the hospital is able to provide, with the help of The Four Diamonds Fund, optimum treatment to its patients. In addition to Penn State Mont Alto’s THON organization raising money, members of the group have been involved in two patients’ lives. Each campus is given a name of a child receiving treatment at The Medical Center. Mont Alto was designated two children this year. The purpose is to keep up the host families’ spirits. Hospitality co-chairs Emily Murray and Helyne Joseph have organized ways to keep this campus’ children happy. Through interacting with the families by means of phone, email, and get- togethers, Murray and Joseph have boosted the morale of Mont Alto’s host families. In addition to Murray and Joseph’s efforts, other members of THON have attempted to get to know the two children and their families. This year’s THON takes place at State College’s Bryce Jordan Center on February 22 to February 24. Each branch of Penn State is allowed four dancers to represent its campus. The dancers for Mont Alto are Helyne Joseph, Mike Di Ritchey. For 46 hours, dancers are supposed to continuously be active in order to raise the most money. “THON is really important to me because the children mean so much. By raising a lot of money, we can help cure cancer. I’m really excited to be a dancer. Itis going to be a fun experience,” states Le. She shares the enthusiasm of all the dancers. Four Diamonds has a mission to help conquer “childhood cancer, and with continuing support, the dream of finding a cure will one day be a reality.
