~~ When I enrolled into Penn
State Mont Alto I wasn’t imag-
ining literally being on the side
of a mountain. Being nine miles
from any commercial area, it’s
hard to buy anything you need
without a car. It’s even harder
getting a job to pay for the
things you want if you don’t
have federal work-study. Work-
study provides part-time jobs for
undergraduate and graduate
students. If one doesn’t qualify
for a work-study, one will most
likely end up working at The
Mill Café.
So here’s the scenario you
find out you have no work-study
and you are directed to apply at
The Mill Café. Then you’re

What we need on this cam-

that won’t happen for years to

job searches I have done are
telemarketing jobs or jobs that
you can telecommute, too. Good
places to find these jobs are
www.wahm.com or
www.craigslist.com. All you
need to apply for these jobs are
given an early morning schedule high-speed internet and a land-

realize you hate working at The perate for a job you can try what

Don’t let the cold weather bring
you down, use it to spice things
up with your wardrobe. This
fall is all about big and bright,
but don’t go overboard.
Less is more
Instead of looking for bold
prints, look for solids which are
way easier to pair with
accessories.
History repeats itself
70’s fashion is making
a big comeback. Look out
for boho prints, florals, and
wide legged pants and
jeans this fall season.
Treat her like a lady
Blouses,
pencil skirts,
and tailored
suits are hot
even when it’s
cold. Flair up
those looks with
hot accessories
and heels.

Wrap up
Sweaters and different
types of knit wear keep are the
best way to be comfortable and
warm while looking oh so chic.
And the fellas,
have not been
forgotten.
Sweaters and
i jeans will pro-
tect you from
§ the cold while
¥ having you
looking hot.
Spotted in stripes
Stripes are essential for
the classy look and look
well paired with jeans or
under a suit jacket.
Clear eye for the straight
leg
Front panel and
straight leg trousers are in
for the season while pleated
pants are definitely OUT of
style.
Tailor made
Tailor cut blazers and
trench coats are in style. Tweed
or cashmere will make you look
and feel rich and will turn
heads.
School spirit
Cashmere sweaters and
cardigans are a must have.
They give that touch of school
spirit regardless of where you
are.
Dark denim
In 2008,
jeans have gotten
tighter, lower, and
nicer. Jeans are
the one thing that
will go with just
about anything
you may have in
your closet.

Being a college student,
there are plenty of ways of be-
come sick. Once one steps foot
surrounded by germs and other
harmful pathogens. However,
there are several ways to nip
that cold in the... butt, before it
gets to out of control.
Listen to your body
If you're tired, find time
throughout your day to take a
nap or at least lay down for an
hour or two to get re-energized.
Your body knows the adequate
amount of rest it needs, so your
best bet is listening to it.
Get sufficient amount of sleep
All those late night events
that take place in college, can
and will eventually take its toll.
Instead of running on five hours
one or two hours. You'll be
surprised by the results. Your
body will also be very grateful.
Drink Up
No, I don’t mean the alco-
holic beverages either. I mean
the kind of fluids that hydrate
your body. Alcoholic bever-
ages, as well as soda, only de-
hydrate the body, and in the
long-run just wear you down.
Be sure to drink nourishing
liquids like chicken noodle
soup or some type of fruit juice.
Stay on top of your symptoms
If you decide to pick up
some medicine, make sure you
take something that will treat
the type of cold that you have.
Read small print on the back of
the box to see what symptoms
the medicine treats, and be sure
it is safe for you to use. Acci-
dently taking the wrong medi-
cine can be harmful to the body
and your overall well being.
