December 17, 195 U The Student Council would like to emphasize the fact that anybody may come to the Student. Council meetings and that everyone has access to the minutes at anytime. On Wednesday, December 15>, although adverse weather conditions prevailed in the Hazleton area, a majority of the members of Mu Delta Sigma braved the storm in order to be present at the weekly meeting. Because of the weather, the meeting was short and informal with Mr. Krecker enlightening the boys on living conditions in the Hazleton area for students who would normally be housed in the dormitory. Mr* Krecker was also presented with a new brief case as a Christmas gift from Mu Delta Sigma to show their gratitude and appreciation for the help he has given towards re-organizing Mu Delta Sigma. The emblems for the newly purchased sweaters arrived and were distributed at this meeting. The new sweaters and emblems mil soon be seen around the Center. It seems that the weather man just doesn't care about the members c£ Mu Delta Sigma, but the weather doesn’t seem to effect the activity of the members. On Tuesday, December IU, despite heavy rains, Brothers Antonovitch, Brungard and Wojciehoski were present at the c horus Concert to give Miss Garbrick a helping hand with decorating, lighting, ect. The next scheduled meeting of Mu Delta Sigma vdll be held on January 5, at 6:30 PM, It is requested that all members be present for this meeting in order to discuss amendments to the constitution. MEMBERS OF MU DELTA SIGMA. WOULD LIKE TO WISH THE STUDENTS AND FACULTY OF HIGHACRES A MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HA T) PY NEW YEAR. Don’t forget the Ball during Christmas. With the long vacation coming up everyone is going to he in one great rush to escape from the books and flee to the happier aspects of school. With all the plans being completed by the Ball Committee, this looks like this is going to be the social event of the season, so don’t forget l And remember, if you want your date to be in the running to become the Queen of the Ball, be sure to get a picture of her to one of the Committee members fast. THE FLIGHT IS STILL COMING UP 11??? For some reason this Center has acquired a jinx of some sort. Every flight that has been scheduled for the ROTC Cadets has ended in some sort of disappointment. If old man weather didn’t succeed in fauling up the plans there was at least a gremlin that got hold of the aircraft and prevented the flight thru mechanical failure. With all these troubles, most everyone has given up hope, but don’t go away folks 1 For coming up on January U, is another flight. This time it is hoped that the weather will be good, for it was the low ceilings in this area that prevented the last flight. So if the weather permits, there is a flight planned for right after the Christmas holidays. HAZLETON COLLEGIAN (Student Council Cont’d) MU DELTA SIGMA ROTC Page I).
