Our choice for the Sophomore Girl of the Week is our own
editor, Lily Junas. Lil went to Hazleton High where she was.
an active member of the band. She was also chosen "Miss Sadie
Hawkins" of 1 953 by the Hazleton Canteen, Lil participates in
almost all of the activities here at the center. Bus service
to the Chorus meetings on Tuesday is handled by Lil and her •
fabulous green truck - so far -no fare lass*
Ed Birosh, from Freeland, is a Liberal Arts student majoring
in - undecided. He says that his favorite subject is English Comp.
5 because of the very charming girls in the class. Ed plans to join
the Air Force at the end of his sophomore year.
We hear that he is interested in learning to dance if he can
persuade a certain blond freshman girl to teach him. By the way,
she is one of the girls in that English class. Could there be a
connection?
The Freshmand Girl of the Week is Beverly Rimm, a tall blond
lass from Coaldale. "Bov" was the editor-in-chief of her high school
yearbook, valedictorian of her class and participated in many other
activities. Beverly is a Chem major and is the Sorority Treasurer,
This week we have chosen Raymond Stewart as our choice for
Freshman Boy of the Week. Ray hails from Newport Twp., and is
a Mechanical Engineering student. He is also a shark at "gin",
which proves his frequent presence at the Rec. Hall, Ray is
interested in baseball and is the "livewire" of "Lowry’s Boarding
House".
