PARNASSUS NOMINATING ELECTION HELD WEDNESDAY
Wednesday, May 13 133 students cast their ballots in the Parnassus election
to nominate candidates for the annual Parnassus awards to the most valuable fresh
man and sophomore.
™ of the election are not available for publication yet.
The five students from each class freshman and sophomore who received the
most votes will be on the nominating list. Both the faculty and Parnassus can
make additional nominations. Members of Parnassus are automatically nominated.
From the nominating list probably comprising about 20 names Parnassus
recipient of the awards by a system of voting against those who’
they feel are less qualified to receive the awards.
PARNASSUS PLEDGES ANNOUNCED
During the last week, Parnassus announced the following new pledges for this
semester: Janice Magavich, second semester Liberal Arts student from Hazleton;
Beverly Wizdo, second semester Commerce student from Freeland; Clarence Shipman,
second semester Mechanical Engineering student from Towandoj Nicholas Skimbo,
third semester Commerce student from Hazleton,

fein Biding. At this time the following pledges chosen during the 1992-
1953 term will be initiated: Joan Griesing, Pat Tomsho, Jane Tressler, Beverly
Janice Magavich, Joe Belovich, John Carr, John Kizoda, Clarence Shipman,
and Nicholas Skimbo, 9
The initiation will be private,
STUDENT-CM'IUNITY CHORUS TO CONTINUE ITS ACTIVITIES
After the success of its annual Spring Concert last Tuesday, Hay 5, the
Student-Community Chorus plans to cintinue its activities. On Tuesdav, liay 19,
the chorus mil present a program at the Presbyterian Home in Hazleton, The chorus
vaU. also sing at the Grace Reformed Church on Sunday, May 2k s at the services
which open the church’s Anniversary Week,
The final appearance of the chorus for this year will be at the Convocation
Dinner, May 28,
ALL COLLEGE PICNIC
Hi Ho A picmcing we will go on Sunday, May 17, 2 o’clock at JustoJHn’s
Grove. Come one and all and bring a guest. A day of fun and a chance to a-ar
eat delicious and dcvine picnic food prepared by Mrs. Smith plus many extras.
Games and athletic events are planned for your enjoyment.
