!lAY DAY DANCE NEXT SATURDAY NITE AT EABLES CLUBHOUSE
Arrangements are nc m being completed by the Student Activity Committee, under
the chairmanship of William Burcin, for the forthcoming "May Day Dance" to be
held next Saturday night, Hay 9, from 9 p.m. to 12 midnight at the Eagles Ballroom,
The Eagles club is located on North Wyoming Street, a halfr-block from Diamond Ave.
The Committee has been fortunate in securing Art “Kendel and his Orchestra to nro
vide colorful music for the affair.
A surprise entertainment program is being set up that every couple attending
the dance is sure to enjoy. The committee is going all out to make this affair
one of the biggest and best events on the college's social calendar, and as a
result, the committee is anticipating one of the largest attendances at any college
social event. Remember the date—May 9; the place—Eagles Ballroomj the time—
-9 p.m. to 12 midnight $ and the event—-May Day Dance, You'll be assured a swell
time if you attend.
So, get a date and be there, guys and gals.
HEAR YOUR COT UNITY CHORUS SPRING CONCERT HAY 5
The Student-Community Chorusunderthe leadership of Miss Pearl QArbrick mill
presnet its annual spring concert this Tuesday, Hay 5, in the Christ Lutheran
Church Parish Hall, Hazleton, at 8:30 p.m. The program includes two selections
by the Instrumental Trio composed of our own faculty members Mrs, Shura Pruhne,
piano, Miss Pealr Garbrick, violin, and Mr. Gilbert Ward, 'cello, and two
selections by the quartet composed of Jane Tressler, soprano, Lois Miller, alto,
Edward Keller, tenor,and William Hebei, bass. The program, featuring sacred music
and folk songs is as follows:

Several committees have been appointed to help in making the program, a success;
program committee—Elise Kreiger, Lois Hiller, Jacqueline Carper, Jane Tresslers
posters—Jack Ciqcca, Elise Kreiger; stage—Harriet Tulin, Jean Haegele; publicity

ushers —Joe Belovich, Norman Hall, Bob Henney, John Hisoda. The ushers, all frat
ernity members, have volunteered their services, and are considered as associate
members’ of the chorus.
