Please accept our humblest apologies, Mr, Steel CHORUS REHEARSAL POSTPONED Due to the inclement weather, the weekly chorus rehearsal had to be called off last Tuesday, much to Miss Garbrick’s sorrow* The telephone committee compose of Harriet Tulin, Jean Haegele, and Jane Tressler went to work immediately to con tact the members. Now Miss Garbrick is scratching her head trying to plan for an extra rehears Any suggestion from the members might lessen her problem somewhat. STUDENT ACTIVITY COMMITTEE PLANS FOR MAY DAY DANCE AND CONVOCATION In keeping with its slogan—’’The biggest and best college parties for all future social events”—the Student Activites Committee has already put its gears of machinery into action* Plans for the May Day Dance and for the Convocation dinner-dance were discussed at a recent meeting of this committee last Friday, Topics that were discussed at that meeting included a hall and orchestra for the May Day Dance; a hall, food expenses, and orchestra forthe Convocation, Committee members Anthony Pecone, William Burcin, Nicholas Skimbo, and the C ouncl Social Chairman, Robert Tonsho, have been assigned to check into prices for halls for both affairs, and into food costs for the Convocation, Manuel Barbeito was selected to head the sub-committee to secure orchestras for the two events to be held in May, Various members of the Committee will serve with Barbeito, Jean Haegele, Mabel Lewis, Mary Donish, Beverly Wizdo, and Janice Magavich have been given the responsibility of organizing an entertainment program for the May Day Dance, The Committee will hold a general meeting of all its members today, fifth period, Room 207, Reports will be heard from the various sub-committees. The Committee wishes to make known to all students, particularly the new students, that both events which are now being planned will cost nothing to student; attending. Expenses for both these social affairs will be paid out of a portion of the student activity fee of f? 7.50 which each student paid at registration time. The Committee also wishes to emphasize that it will always ask one thing of all students at all social events-—-your attendance. TRAFFIC COMMITTEE Oar Campus Traffic Committee is composed of Captain Carper, Mr* Ward, and Mr* Peightal representing the faculty; Bob Tqnsho, Nick Pelick, and Frank Sraida representing Student Council* Their job is a big one, Their duties are; 1* To establish and enforce traffic regulation, 2, To act upon all requests for parking permits. At present there are nine spaces in the dormitory lot and nine spaces in the upper lot which are vacant. In order to obtain one of these spaces you shoud come under one of the following categories* 1, Dormitory student, 2, Part time faculty member, 3* Student with medical reasons for not walking the hill.
