The meeting came-to an end about five o’clock, HELP WANTED At the Student Council meeting this past Wednesday four written suggestions for a proposed amendment to our Constitution were received. Of the four, submitted, three of them contained the same principle wording. The two proposed amendments which Council has decided to consider officially are as follows: 1, A student council member’s term shall be one academic year unless his class status changes within that year. In this case an election will be held to replace him# 2, Any student elected to Student Council as a freshman and who at mid-semesters (Editor: meaning?) automatically becomes a sophomore shall complete the full academic year as a council member# After further recommendations from the student body, the council will de cide on one amendment. Two weeks from this date of the official publication of the amendment, council will vote upon this amendment. Council has set up an .Amendment Committee to handle any suggestions the student body has forthe formulating of the amendment, This committee is composed of Andrew Karpinski, Pat Tomsho, and Elise Kreiger,, To have any idea considered, all that has to be done is for a student to express (preferably written expression) this wish to one of the members of this oommittee# If a petition signed by one third of the student body is presented to this same committee requesting that the student body be allowed to vote on this amend ment, the council will have to subnit the amendment to the vote of the entire student body. This is in compliance with the 13th article, section 2, clause of the constitution# Weekly Newsletter Edition The Pennsylvania State College Center «——— —■ ww ———tmi Elise Kreiger, member of amendment committee February 27, 1953
