Vol. XV, No. 10 SIX STUDENTS TAPPED FCR PARNASSUS Six students have been invited to join Parnassus, the Highacres Honors Society: Jane Tressler Pat Tonsho Joan Oriesing J ohn Carr John Misoda Jos Bolovich v Ea.n'h of these students have received personal invitations from Parnassus, to he pledged. This is a goal for everyone to attain who has the balanced combination of academic attainment and campus activity. STUDENT COUNCIL During yesterday’s meeting of Student Council, the following points were discussed? 1. It was decided that Joe Belovich and Nick Skimbo, each with one council membexj would collect tickets at the haskethall games. Each pair would alternate at the games. _ Boh Tomsho asked the Council to reserve a date in February for a dance to he held hy the Mummy Cluh. The date has not been decided upon, hut the Mummy Cluh will have priority in case of conflicts. Mr. Mattern commended RCTC students on their good work in trying to meet their budget. At the present time they are only a few dollars short of their budget. This is very good for RCTC as well as the Student Council. A letter was received from Mr. Campbell, Administrative Head, congratulat ing the Student Council on the success of the Christmas Ball* He also suggested a dancing class at Highacres. The Council decided to see if it would be possible and will decide upon it when the Christmas vacation is over* Bob Tomsho brought Up the question of what to do about the recreation room. Ping pong balls and paddles have been broken and no one has assumed any responsibility. Andy Karpinski, president, then said that Mr, Peightal and the athletic committee were responsible for the equip ment and that they should see to It that it is returned in good condition. The meeting was adjourned. FINAL EXAMINATION SCHEDULES BEADY; BEPCIRT CONFLICTS The final examinations for the fall semester classes will begin Saturday, January 17, 1953* Student schedules for the final examinations will be available at the main office when We return to classes after the Christmas vacation. These schedules should be checked for possible conflict of examinations* If any two exams are scheduled for the same time, this fact must be reported to the main office before Friday, January 9, 1953, in order that changes can be made in the schedule. SORORITY BECEIVES PINS For the past two days members of the Theta Sigma Pi Sorority have been sporting brand new sorority pins. The sorority pin Itself is diamond of blue and gold with the Greek letters Theta Sigma Pi embossed on the front.
