Vol* No* 8 ME, CAMPBELL VISITS WISCONSIN Over the weekend of November 21, while it was raining in Higha bell, Administrative Head at Highacres, was on a business trip in sunny weather at Wisconsin^ Mr* Campbell (accompanied by S» H, Campbell from the Central Extension Office* E# L* Keller, Assistant Director of General Extension* and Reed Ferguson of Behrend Center at Erie) went to the University of Wisconsin to discuss the university extension program, which deals primarily with off-main-campus centers* There were sixteen representatives at the meeting. These representatives were from Purdue University, Indiana University, University of Wisconsin, and Pennsyl vania State College, The extension programs of these universities are very similar, but Penn State is the leader in this extension program. It is the only college which owns all of its extension centers, Penn State is far ahead of the other colleges and is progressing rapidly in its operational techniques. FAITHFUL MEMBERS CONTINUE WITH CLUB It's going on a month since Highacres was invaded by the “Bearded Men,"’ In an interview with one of our reporters, a member stated that the next meeting of the club will be held at “Creepy Joe ! s“ l in McAddo, December 16, The members feel that they are martyrs to the cause of beards. They also said that they are being persecuted at home and abroad. Strange as it seems, there are no female objections.
